orange county

Orange county is a movie you should watch. It is funny, heartwarming, and inspiring.

My first impression in this movie that it was a just-to-waste-sometime-movie i guess it wasn't. It is a bad thing that I didn't have the chance to start it; however, I was inticed by the story on how the story is based in a real-life situation. Especially for me that I want to get out of the house and to push myself to go to a prestigious university down south. My main reasons were education and freedom. I have to say that this movie really hit me when the main character (tom hanks' son in real life) wanted to enroll in stanford to become a writer. The story revolved around his struggle to get into the university and how a lot of mere coincidences and accidents led him to believe that the only place he wanted to be in is at his home in Orange County!

The character had a girlfriend and his brother was Jack Black :p. Jack black was hilarious!!! He was in his underwear 3/4 of the movie. I found myself laughing so hard that day especially when ben stiller did a cameo role as a fireman!!! I was laughing my ass off. John Lithgow(3rd rock from the sun) was there too!!! I absolutely love this guy. I love the way he delivers his lines and jokes!!! He is definitely one of the best comedians in my list. He was the character's egotistic, selfish dad. I forgot the name of the guy who played the main character sorry!!! Anyway, what seemed like a movie unworthy of my time revealed that the flow of the story and the chemistry inside the set made it more worth it than it looks.

I have to go again...hhahaa my bad!!! I have to cut this short I am going to go to Serramonte... sorry!!! I have to do this again!!! ;p

p.s.

By the way, it's pretty weird because I was craving for SERENDIPITY for the longest time and man they showed in HBO yesterday morning and the evening. It has to be one of the greatest films I have ever watched!!! I just love Kate beckinsale!!! She is one foxy lady!!! /me *kneels down and bows his head* hahaha.... every guy would agree with me!!! right?

movie marathon and reading a book.

that's all what I accomplished as of now in my so-called vacation from work and school.

My favorite movies were SWAT and Orange County

(bart's kakaibang review!!! ;p)

Swat was not bad surprisingly. I read in a column that it had a bad story and there was no chemistry among the actors. However, in my judgement, I think it was a clever movie that wasn't the usual story. It helped when I saw Samuel Jackson I am a big fan of his! I really love (The Negotiator). I used to hate him though, but I guess he has proven to me that he is worth watching. His suave, unique way of acting out his role made this movie great. Of course, Collin Farrel should be noted. But, everytime he comes to the picture I get annoyed at my sister Nicole's reaction (pagtitili). Haha... She said super gorgeous DAW!!! Anyway, I have a crush on Michelle Rodriguez especially when she looks at her devilish eyes... I dunno ang ganda ganda niya e!! pake mo!!!

*spoiler*
Back to the story, I never imagined how great it was until they made an airplane land in a bridge. It was so tight that it just made me more glued to the tube. It was a story of betrayal (unusual daw!!!) hahaha... anyway, i liked the sequence of events and their training. Michelle Rodriguez is hot!!! Oh well, so much about reviewing the movie. I have to go I need to cook for lunch check you guys later!!! (2 be continued)

6:01am frozen windshield DAMn!!!

im on vacation and i have work on the 28th and 3rd... that means i get to catch up from what i have missed... I drove dad today as usual but man the day greeted me with this icy look of the windshield of our blue dodge caravan. it was so chilly last night that I had to literally splash water to the winshield this morning and wipe it with a "basahan". it was so hard to drive with that kind of condition. The first thing hat came into mind was to turn on the wiper; however, dad told me it sounded like someone shoveling snow and it didn't work. Besides, it will damage the wiper. Nothing seems to work even the defogger!!! Hassledeck! Oh well, at least I got my dad to work on time. but, I had to drive pretty slow cuz I can die driving like that in the freeway you know????

nostalgic christmas feeling :(

I don't feel like it's christmas. Although I know I will be getting a lot of gifts soon (HELL YEAH!!!). I still don't feel the spirit yet and it sucks. I tried attending simbang gabi(evening mass) near a filipino community (in which 95% of the church goers are filipinos) just to get the feeling. (I completed 9 mornings last year!!!oh yes call me nerd!) Yet, it's still not it. Is it because I am so busy with my life right now and I don't have time to think about and notice the changes happening everyday?

It's cold; in fact, it is winter season and I still long for the spirit!!! Maybe it's because up to now, I am still homesick... and its just my subconscious longing and looking for the same feeling that I have felt through the years.... man christmas is 8 days from now!!! I miss my relatives and friends back home... :( ... however, I know someday there will be some good to everything of what is happening to me right now... it's been i dunno 7 or 8 months cuz i lost count already here in California and I hope the christmas feeling would come to me soon... damn i haven't done my christmas shopping yet!!! i gotta go!!!

Saddam is caught and I heard Abu Sabaya was caught too.. I know it is good news for both the Filipinos and Americans... but don't you smell something fishy? Well, it wasn't surprising to hear good news right now for the reason that both of the respected countries' presidential elections are coming up next year. Do you think that it was a mere coincidence that Saddam or Abu Sabaya was caught? Or was it just to create a pivotal point to boost up campaign presidency for the current administrations?

In my opinion, in an effort to build up and cover bad criticisms against both administrations, both captures were set-ups wherein both current presidents are given more credibility as a leader due to the situations they are in both now... what do you think? I might be wrong but it has caught my undivided attention as to what I should be feeling right now. Its a crazy world man!!!

Amel Larrieux - Make Me Whole (revised para pang girl hehe) :)

Darling I want you to listen. I stayed up all night, so I can get this thing right. And I don't think there's anything missing. Cause a person like you, made it easy to do.I've waited for so long, to sing to you this song. Cause your eyes are the windows to heaven. Your smile could heal a million souls.Your love completes my existence. You're the other half that makes me whole. You're the only other half that makes me whole.

I think the angels are your sisters, yeah. They told you about me, said you're just what he needs. And I find myself thanking your mother. For giving birth to a saint. My spirit flies when I say your name. If there's one thing that's true. It's that I was born to love you.

Cause your eyes are the windows to heaven. Your smile could heal a million souls.Your love completes my existence. You're the other half that makes me whole. You're the only other half that makes me whole.

You make my dreams. Come true over and, over again. And I honestly truly believe. You and me are written in the stars. I live my whole life through, To giving thanks to you.

Cause your eyes are the windows to heaven. Your smile could heal a million souls. Your love completes my existence.
You're the other half that makes me whole. You're the only other half that makes me whole.

You are a romantic writer. You're ALWAYS writing
about some significant other--about lacking
one, about wanting one, about having one, about
being with one--it doesn't matter. If it
involves even a tiny ounce of love, you're
there! Much into the works of Christina
Rossetti and the works of Alfred Tennyson, you
are a bit of a classical writer as well....but,
for the sake of all things cheesy, you're more
of a hopeless romantic than a classical writer.
You write whatever comes to mind--which usually
involves a significant other. ^^; Oh well. If
literary geniuses don't do it, who will, right?
