The Truth About the Evils of Fast Food

Filmmaker Morgan Spurlock ate 3 meals a day at McDonald’s for 30 days for his documentary aimed at exposing the real health hazards of a fast-food diet.

The results were really bad.... it's disgusting and the worst thing about it it's the truth check out this link. I just got this from msn before logging into hotmail. In a span of a month can you believe he gained 25 pounds! And to think I just ate Mcdonald's around 4 days ago... this changed me... im now a believer of mcdonald's is the greatest evil of all!!!

hilaw na mangga at bagoong!

If Kel loves orange soda.... Bart loves green mango and bagoong!!!

I have been craving for this ever since I stepped on the airplane leaving for sfo. That juicy-crispy-sour-mouthwatering experience has been haunting me for months... ;9 ----tuwo waway!!!---

Who here loves em? Man this picture says it all but all i can do is stare... stare stare stare.... i want to eat green mangoes now! damn! I don't really prefer the indian mango cuz I would go for the most sour type which is kinalabaw. You have to see me stuffing myself and just perspiring with this delicious taste that only Philippines can offer! (believe me I tried eating a huge green mango from thailand... it sucked big time... i tried the one from mexico it didn't even come close....)

This will definitely top my list of what to do when I go back... yum yum yum yum... ill just sleep on this.... writing a post on this one makes it harder for me... yum yum yum yum

bart the barbarian ay este, librarian!

I was asked by Ms. Sandra Kirkpatrick to consider working at the Skyline College library. I want to work but I don't want to wake up early.(lazy!) The pay is not bad and considering that the only reason I don't want it is that it's too early. Ms. Sandra, otherwise known as Grandma, (cuz she looks like the sweet-looking grandmas in the movies hehe) photocopied the schedule available and 8-10am MWF is the only slot i can work in the library. I might take it and be a librarian, which reminds me that I am supposed to call her tomorrow about this! :) The job looks tedious but it's an easy job; however it also fills up my vacant time in school and spices up my job experience with what I will write in my resume when I graduate. No to mention having plans on saving more money for next month.

next week isa na akong
librarian sa umaga
student sa hapon
cashier sa gabi hehehe...
ang buhay ko dtong napakasaya... :)

i want

I am an ambitious person. I want to achieve a lot of things before I get too old of doing something. I want to experience life at its fullest. I have a list of things I want to do before I die and this makes me get up every morning. My life schedule doesn't include failures but sometimes in these unscheduled errors opportunities sprung up from nowhere and thus, getting me back on course. I love to be an underdog and I want to prove to myself that I am worthy of life's perkS and hidden gifts. I just have to keep myself hungrier everyday. I can't become who I want to be when I settle right? My hands were made to mold my future into something I want to become. I make myself and I don't plan on creating an environment where I don't want my life to lead to. I am impatient and more of like a brat. This leads me to believe that I should stop myself from getting angry to things I just have to wait for. I believe in the saying that "anger when used in a non-violent form is powerful in ways you can never imagine". I want to do so many things and because of this I become this person who has to do so many things in one day. I hate it though, when I become sloppy and I slide. This leads me to become lazy and stupid. I need to get back in track. I need to retain my focus and do what I have to do to make way for the future I have been dreaming of my entire life.

me :)

mind

I just came from Bayi's house this morning just right in time for me to drive my dad to work. It’s a good thing I was sober already haha!!! We drank till 2:30 am then doze off because his high school buddy came from Sonoma county to sleep in his house. This led me to a conclusion that I miss my high school barkada! The last time I saw them was my “despedida” in Bel-Air. I felt so out of place because 2/3 of the time they were reminiscing about their high school days and where they hung out at night. I didn’t feel bad though, because I know how it feels to hang out with high school buddies. Just talking about other batch mates -- making fun of them, chatting about teachers before who were pissed, and the latest news about what happened in school. In short, CHISMIS!!! haha!!!

body

I played basketball with them and Bayi’s brother’s friends (haba ng connection!!!) yesterday, which was good, but my muscles still hurt from my Friday gym class. It ached badly from the time I woke up Saturday morning until now. Maybe it’s because I haven’t worked out in 9 months minimum and all of a sudden I lifted quite a load. OUCH!!!

eyes, ears

Anyway, “The Golden Globe Awards” is on the television now, and Nicole and I talked about being spectators in the red carpet being one of the things listed in the “THINGS TO DO BEFORE WE DIE list”. On it of which I included in my list was going to New York so it’s checked but for sure I will go back!!!

tired of travelling around but fulfilled!!!

I still can't believe I went to New York and finally I can say that it was a very productive xmas break. The good thing about it is New York wasn't the only place I went to. I saw the white house because when we arrived in JFK airport we went straight to DC. It was surreal because I am used to only seeing it in the movies or in the news. I was surprised too because it seemed pretty small :) Nevertheless, it was still a wonderful experience to see the capital of the united states and see historical places with my naked eye. Can you believe it was around 9-10 degrees F outside. It was so freezing that I had to wear 3 shirts a jacket and a coat! whoa!!! It was something else! After going to DC....

(some helpful fact: Washington is not in washington state in the west coast. It is located beside virginia and maryland in the east coast. Washington DC(district of columbia) is not in any state. I was arguing with nicole on how can we get there if it was in the west coast... anyway, it's a dumb thing to fight over; however, we had a laugh when we found out (stupid ass!!!))

My tita malou drove us then to heart of New York city before taking us to the house in Long Island. So at 2 am in the morning and snow was falling from the sky. We stood in the middle of time square freezing our butts off!! It was perfect because there were not a lot of cars and there were no people walking around. here are the pix...

playing in the snow near waldorf astoria

It's obvious that I just woke up I slept the whole trip going here.. but it is still the white house :)

In Times Square with my mom and nicole (2am)

With my super baiti ninang Marni :)

10:15 pm UA flight ==SFO to JFK==

it's 4:30pm and am just waiting for my flight tonight.
my ticket is a good buy because my uncle works for united airlines so I get a chance passenger ticket.
that means we get to pay less than half of the fare.
isn't that great?
however, if the plane is full we don't get to ride it.
that's the bad part.
the better part is if the passengers are not that much (we get upgraded)
i think that's why it's called cHaNcE

our eta in new york is 6 a.m.
the plan is my ninang marni will pick us up in the airport in we will go straight to washington d.c. to accompany her. she wants to set up a sari sari store there so she is studying the area. I will be in the east coast till sunday. so i hope i can blog in between but there's a big possibility i cant. one more thing, my aunt vita called us up a while ago she is inviting us to go to Boston. Man... it's gonna be one busy vacation for us...

classes start on tuesday.
to hell with school... east coast here I come!!!
wohoooo!!!
til then..

recap

DAY 1 sunday:
morning---9am-11am
::I went to westborough park to play basketball with bayi boy my bestfwend here in cali! I had to play in my sweats and jogging pants because it was freezing! However, after 30 minutes I had to take it off because I had generated enough body heat to use my shorts and tshirt underneath. All I can say is it was a nice feeling to get out of bed to run and shoot some hoops. We played full courts and half courts which satisfied my craving for basketball for #3

afternoon/night--2:30pm-8:30pm
::I went to santa cruz with my family. I never knew I could satisfy 2 numbers on my list which makes me so happy!!! It was an hour and a half drive and we had to go through three highways 101, 85 and 17. We just walked along the board walk and the beach. It was like fisherman's wharf in san fran but smaller. It was okay but I would think people would prefer to go there during summer time as opposed to winter time as of this day. We strolled among the carnival type rides. I was shocked because I didn't know it was that huge. I was expecting that it was not that great so as a result, I had a wonderful time with my family.

me and my sisters

We stayed there at approximately 4pm-6pm then we went home because it was getting darker. 6pm in this season looks like 10pm that's why we has to leave soon or we will have a hard time going home since its our first time to go to santa cruz. One thing I can never forget is the sunset. I even took a picture of it. My feeling auntie dulzzi pic...

I absolutely admire auntie dulzzi she is a very artistic, fantastic, perfectionist photographer; in fact, she just won an award in an international contest 4th place. I am so proud of her. She is my idol when I capture a beautiful scene inside the lens of our digi cam (hehe)

Anyway, to end the day pizza would be a nice way to do it. so we went to toto's pizza! one of the best pizzas here in the bay area.

a couch potato with a beer belly

... that's me! cable tv has never been this better... I have 200+ channels to surf on... 20+ channels are movie channels... so all I do all day when i don't have schedule for work is sit down on the couch and watch TV! I have watched a lot of movies and a lot of shows, and I feel like I have to catch up with most of it. It's hard not to be hypnotized when you sleep in the living room where the 27inch new tv stands. Not only have I had my addiction of tv restored, I also have a beer belly. However, I plan to take it out when classes start. It's really disgusting haha. :) It's hard not to watch what's on the tube especially when you were deprived for 3 months. I thought I couldn't survive ;p Oh well..
